Beers Of Stangnet

One of my all-time favorites is New Holland Brewery Dragon's Milk. It's kind of like Guinness but with some cream in it. :nice:

Haven't had any in a long time, I'll need to make a trip to the big wine & beer store that carries it.

So, made it to the good beer/wine/spirits store, finally. Searched everywhere for Dragon's Milk... turns out it's now sold in 12 oz bottles and the label looks different! Still tastes terrific! :D
Also bought a bottle of Laphroaig 10 yr. old Scotch. Smokey, peaty, and loaded with Highland greatness from the Isle of Islay!

NO, I don't mix the two, or have them near each other. I'll have a beer with dinner, then the Scotch or something else later at night.

Last night I picked up a 6-pack of Goose Island Winter Ale, so that's occupying some space in the fridge for now. I was hoping to grab some Sam Adam's Winter Lager but the store I went to didn't have it yet. They were still stocking the Octoberfest.

The Goose Winter is pretty good. The label says there's hints of chocolate, roasted caramel, and something else (can't remember off hand) but I was kinda picking up on some coffee notes.

My local Kroger's has the Sam Adams Winter Lager, and the White Christmas Ale already. :nice:

Pretty sure I've had the Goose Island Winter Ale, but will just have to refresh my memory.

I was in Florida visiting some family over Thanksgiving and the wife to be and I spent one day in Universal Studios, with that being said I couldn't help but to enjoy a "Dufftoberfest" beer while there. Its a little sweeter than the Sam Adams Octoberfest but just as good none the less. While I wouldn't fly to florida just for this beer it was good while it lasted!

What brands are they? I haven't seen any other BB Stouts around here.

Sorry, I haven't checked back into this thread in a bit. Since I'm not sure where you are, I'll go with some that have a wide range of distribution. I would start with Founders KBS, Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout, Sierra Nevada BA Narwhal, Firestone Walker Parabola, Oscar Blues BA Ten FIDY and Lagunitas High Westified. I'm sure there are more local options depending on where you live.

I've got most of a 12-pack of the Sam Adams Winter Sampler and a 6-pack of some other winter seasonal awaiting consumption. Picked up the Sam Adams for a Christmas party at my place a couple weekends ago, and one person brought the other 6-pack for me as a gift. Been kinda slacking lately on the brews!
