Its been nearly 14 years since I acquired a few exterior aftermarket parts, took the car apart and repainted it.
Over the years I've gotten board with a few things so I've been slowly changing things around in effort to keep it fresh.
I added a couple pics of it right out of the gate back in 2003 when I just got it finished. Took first place that day. Toot-toot!
And,, I've added a couple current pics of how it sits today. I just bolted on to test fit a new 2" Kanaen hood yesterday. Gonna remove it today for paint. It should provide a cleaner look over the previous Mach1 style that I had.
I also have a new '93 Cobra rear bumper cover on the way from Cervini's. Unfortunately the one that's on there now has warped and started cracking over the later years.
Can't have that!

Been real busy and haven't updated my post. So, I'ma doin it now.
I finally got a chance to paint and install the hood. Cleaned up the lines of the car quite a bit. There's some flaws in my old 93 Cobra rear bumper cover so I'm in the process of painting a Cervinis replacement. I'll be done with that next week.

Also, I was working on my brakes last week and thought I'd personalize the calipers. I have a buddy in the vinyl business so I asked him to make some labels. After-all this car has been in my care for nearly 29 years and I've pretty much built the entire car over again so I might as well write my name on it somewhere. LOL:p

One day I'll have some Cobra 13" brakes up front. Right now I have the 5 lug PBR brakes that came standard on 99-04 GT's and really like them, especially with StopTech pads. I can't imagine how good the Cobra units must be. How do you like them?

The calipers are the same as 99-04 GT PBR's. Only difference is 13" rotors rather than the smaller GT rotors. So all you really need is the Cobra caliper mounting brackets, and the 13" replacement rotors the next time you want to replace your pads/rotors. The change in rotor size does help though. When I did the swap from the single piston calipers on my '95 GT to the PBR's and 13" rotors, I about bruised my chest on my seat belt the first few times out. /End hijack

OP, your car looks great btw. I like the hood choice, and agree that it streamlined the look of the car. I was just trying to help answer Jason's inquiry with my ramblings above, in case he wasnt aware.

I don't believe the cobras used the same calipers as the GT and V6 cars.

I will have to read up on it Joe. I was under the impression that if anything, the new "cobra kits" are a chinese versions of the original Ford design, but that over all they were the same size and function wise. I suppose I very well could be wrong.

I believe you are correct in the Chinese copy department. But the Cobra pieces are different in terms of piston size and a few other small differences I am sure. I think @Mustang5L5 could confirm or deny this for us.

Sorry for the hijack @Onefine88. You definitely keep the mods tasteful.

No worries guys, been busy and haven't been around.

Yep you're right. Under the front end the only common thing used on GT/V6, and Cobra's cars would be the spindles/dust shields. The Cobra calipers and rotors are larger than the Gt stuff.
Also, Front Cobra and Mach1 calipers and rotors are the same minus the Logo. Mach1 calipers are bare/no logo.

On the rear the Calipers are the same on all GT, V6, Cobra, and Mach1. The difference is the brackets that the calipers are mounted on, and of course larger rotors. The Cobra and Mach1 use longer brackets to facilitate the larger rotors used on those cars.

My rear brakes are still settup as GT/V6. I have the Cobra brackets and rotors at the shop but haven't had the chance to swap them out.
