Beers Of Stangnet

Soooooo, I have had one too many Bastards at work....

Now I have to sit here a while until I can go to the liquor store on the way home.:D

I want to find something new, yet not crazy (I'm already married:eek:).

Great Lakes Brewing: Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. :nice:

Also, we have a new Scottish Pub in my area called the Highland Stag. GREAT place for eats n' drinks! Not just pub food, really good dinners and sammiches. A good variety of Scotch always on-hand, and about 20 taps. They just cracked open a new keg, in collaboration with a local brewery called The Crooked Handle, the Pub now features a Scotch Ale called The Crooked Stag. MMAAANNN, is it GOOD! :nice: :nice:
Too bad it's only available here (30 min. drive from my house) and you can't get some to go in a growler or anything.

Man, it's the best. I kind of like cooking (grilling steaks).

So I'm cooking BEER! The only way to make it better is for the Swedish Bikini Team to be bringing me bacon while I brew.

Oh hell yes!!!

Yea I tell my friends what a lot of homebrewers say; if you can make mac n cheese you can brew beer. Granted, as you have alluded to, "one" also has to like cooking to some extent. At least that's been my experience talking with other homebrewers.

Aside from a few moments the majority of brew day is pretty chill. I find it very relaxing.... Minus the cleanup :crap:

It's that time of the year to do my Oktoberfest beer.

What about you?

A buddy and me are in the initial phases of drumming up a Vienna lager recipe. Nothing concrete at this point other than style. We just got done with an American wheat batch. Which turned out spectacurlarly. We dry hopped with a bit of Apollo for some character.

It will be time soon for me personally to brew another ipa. I think I am going to go for a warrior bitter, and a cascade + African queen aroma combo this time around.

I am looking forward to October especially. It will be a year (I think it was my 3rd brew) since I've brewed/kegged a barleywine that's been aging in a keg on oak spirals that were "charged" with Four Roses small batch. I haven't sampled it since this past Jan so I am super stoked at how it's developed since
