Steve called last night to help out (THANKS AGAIN!!!) and basically ruled out the ignition being the problem.

I sent him my tune and he sent one back, edited. Thank you for that as well! @a91what I'm assuming you edited the VE map?

Ah, I read your last update as past tense like you had already put the tune on the car. Dont you have any vacation days to use? I'd be too excited to wait.
Well, I was on vacation last week, haha.

But as far as the excitement, it died a long time ago. I've been in the grind stage for a while now and I'm afraid I'm nearing the next stage soon. It's either a) put a cover on it until I get tired of looking at it or b) abort mission and go back to TFI

I completely understand and can relate-though I’m not doing all the power adder/complicated ecu/distributorless ignition tuning etc build. The last 3 years of pretty much no budget, buying used transmissions in worse shape than my bad one-hoarding parts, finding a builder only to have his price go up not once but thrice. I’m at the point of sell it as is-put in a used trans and sell or pay the builder the latest price and hope it doesn’t increase a 4th time by the end.... Hang in there buddy- when it’s running down the street blazing tires-you will be excited again :-)
