I'm a die hard Blue Oval man, but I haven't owned a Mustang yet. Almost bought a '67 years ago, he wanted $1,400. I had $1,200. Still regret not going back for it a few weeks later when I had the money.

I've got the engine out of my '95 F-150 right now, so I'm here for the wealth of knowledge on EFI small blocks.

when shopping for heads and cam for that engine watch for piston to valve clearance, non HO engines have a different piston design.
