Just noticed this in a pic of the gas cap. Thought it was pretty funny! I’ve never seen that wording before..... I guess only part of it was made in China!

Got the car started, off the jackstands, and out of the garage. No fuel leaks.
Did a good clean up in the garage today, and decided I’d throw the new headlights in.
Well, I come to find out the headlights were flopping in the breeze, only held in by the pressure of the two smaller lights beside it.
Anyway.... created a post about finding mounting bolts for the headlights. I really don’t want to buy the entire mounting plates if I don’t need to! Nothing is easy!

Headlights are in. I like it!! I don’t think the pics do it justice to how different they are. And you can’t see how bad the other headlights were. The old set was all repro. The markers and signals look like new.... headlights were hazed over and “crackled” pretty bad.
Still need to do some adjusting once it gets dark.

The haze and “crackle” I was dealing with:

Man! I've been flip flopping back and forth over whether I wanted to buy a new set of stock clear or stock style smoked. I LIKE the way yours turned out, they look killer. Are those the SVE smoked kit from LMR?
Also, I read your thread on the bolt troubles. I'll be out in the garage today and may have spares (originals). I'll shoot you a message if you still need some for your set you cannabilized.

Thanks man, appreciate that! At least I got mine in, but now those other lights are useless without some bolts. Still need to try Ace to see if they have anything like that. But if you find some you don’t mind parting with, let me know!!

Got the Kilmat down on the passenger side today. Also changed out my ignition switch while the interior was out of my way. It seems to have stopped my occasional starter hanging up! The switch was definitely on the loose side, and only going to get worse, so glad that’s off the list.

Ok..... here we go. I was supposed to work today, and start a week vacation on Sunday. On Friday, my boss offers me an extra vacation day! Weathers gonna be good..... work to do on the Stang..... hell yeah I’ll take the day!
I get my interior all back together, everything’s good....... I decide to take it around the corner to fill up the tank.
Iask my daughter if she wanta to take a ride (she likes the Foxbody) and she says yeah.
I get to the station, filling it up, and all of a sudden I hear gas leaking out!
Before it gets too bad, I get the hell out of there, and head home (between 1/4 and 1/2 mile)
I realize I never fully tightened the ring on the sending unit. I drop the tank enough to get it tightened up (while it’s still leaking) and all is good! Me and my 15 yr old daughter were running like a NASCAR put crew!! Pulling down a tank completely full of gas is not fun!!
Anyway——— we get it all back together.... leak is stopped, but now the tank is reading dead E. Brand new sending unit. (Ive
Posted in tech about it). It was working before I spilled fuel I’ll over it.
always effing something!!

After all that is now behind me..... hopefully, I took it out for a nice ride, and got it inspected today.
Still need to figure out my sending unit issue, but for the time being I’ll just watch the trip meter!
Car ran nice, and way less creaks and rattles with these subframe connectors. Felt a little more “planted” on the road as well. Very happy about that upgrade so far!

Here is what I see as I sit at my workbench at night.
I feel like all the silver of the alternator, tensioner, and power steering bracket need to be the color of the intake. It’s cheap work, but is it worth it?
