Hey I did the engine mount rebuild kit thing. Which trans mount goes with this set up?

I mean they should match right?

I did also. I didn't realize the mount changed the height of the motor? That could be a problem. Is your motor out right now? Or, if not did you notice a change in height?
I bought a prothane tranny mount but the height is the same as the rubber/stock ones.

I just got the MINDLESS DRIVE Trophy (2k posts)

So that calls for a long mindless acceptance speech.

WHOO HOO! I am honored to accept this award on behalf of all my Stang net family and would like to thank all those who helped by reading, commenting, giving the good, bad, and ugly advice and generally pushing me forward. I would like to thank my Mustangs because they played no small part and my mother. I would like to thank the internet for giving me the opportunity to find and post endless stupid pictures and memes. Today is my birthday and the timing was suspect at first but the reality has set in and I am honored. May my next 2000 posts be be more interesting that the last which were kind of lame mostly. I would like to give a shout out to Mike for running the grammar police. You can't do 2000 posts with out running afoul of mike at least once. Keeping us on our toes. A big thank you to the Mods for conducting this mindless symphony and for not banning me when they probable should have. I would like to share the prize money with all who posted on the Charleys Angles thread, once the cash is forthcoming. Would like to thank some special threads such as 'Beers of Stang net" and 'Its grilling time" for adding a touch of humanity amongst the leaking oil and busted knuckles. I know someone here is gonna buy that electric mustang and find a way to make it cool, eventually. May the pigeons never chit on your Stang and God Bless.

My clutch cable order was just cancelled due to lack of inventory.

Pioneer Ca 305 is now out

ATP Y-141 is now on its way

both are listed as v8 53 inch style and the stock photos are the same.
It was supposed to show up and be my birthday present2me, but whatever.
More waiting / more price point$ / more shipping$ / more more more.

What??? SWEET!

Indomitable positivity activated and launched captain.:p

I have two. Neither is perfect but between the two you may get one good one. You're welcome to them if you want to pay for the shipping. I'm going hydraulic.

So the clutch cable showed up today.
It didn't come with the locking clip like in the stock photo.

Should send it back?
Is that clip removable from the cable? Are you supposed to transfer it?

This cable eyelet just touches the cutting burr on the pipe both sides and the end is not a bad fit in this iron gas pipe from HomeRepo.
I'd say almost an 1/8 of an inch loose.

Having done this last summer with partial success...IMO:

First before I welded anything on the tube I'd find out how much adjustment you'll need. (You may need to make the tube longer.) That will depend on your pressure plate. For the spec mustang II replacement clutch I ran out of adjustment space...almost. I had to add spacers on the threaded tube. If you remember I had to take the entire spring off the bell end. I destroyed the "teeth" on the blue adjusting nut trying to get the new cable to work. There will be some stretch on the new cable.

My new cable did not come with the metal clip either. You may reuse it but mine did not fit over the cable eye. You may need to shave that off a little to get the clip to fit. I did not reuse it. Once I had the cable set it never moved, even after many readjustments on clutch break-in. So, I wouldn't worry about it.

Again if you need it or just want it for peace of mind, I have it.
