Progress Thread Pete is checking out these valve covers

Cheap Moroso plastics I was just on Amazon looking at the aluminum with the set screw ones. Rdub6 when this thing gets done I will post the thermometer picture. Hopefully it comes out at 42 degrees that what a review claimed. Not bad for $550 alot of money , but adds to the price of the car considerably.

Especially in Florida.

Got the compressor in after one hour of changing the spacers , and reversing the back bracket ten times. It does not go in the way the instructions say it is supposed to. I temporarily set the high side hose to see how it would fit , and its better than the stock one. I love the way it is a little longer. Thats a four inch Anderson Power pipe with an Accufab 90 mm throttle body with spacer. I bought it before I had a clue about foxbodys I read a few times that its too big for my set up. It would be nice if somebody chimes in on the one wire going in to the compressor.
Lookin clean in there

Its about to touch at the water pump pulley ?

On one of my cars there was only about 1/4 inch between the belt tensioner and the WP. It never touched though.

This is real similar to mine....this one is about 30 bucks cheaper.

They only have 4 left so I'd call them to make sure.

I just got a belt that fits exact. Meaning that my spring tensioner is all the way up. I would think its ok and my belt will stretch a bit. Right , its ok to be all the way up ??
All the way up, meaning to the tight side?
The last belt I changed was like that at first, and eventually settle right in the middle of the marks on the tensioner.

SOMETHING IS WRONG......Not getting cold air I think I screwed up and the pressure went out the vacuum pump....Re vacuuming because I was stupid and left the yellow hose hooked up to the vacuum. The good thing I hope is that its getting flushed again. Also the compressor is not exactly in line and needs to be moved with spacers. I thought this was going to be easy , but nothing has been.

Going to start again sunday morn. Orafice is clogged making the line freeze up at the orafice. Bought a new line with the orafice filter in it. I flushed this good so I dont know. Hope it works will see how clogged is clogged

I give up for a while debating on flushing the system again. Very cold going into the firewall. 35-40 low side 85-105 high side. Everything seems to be ok, but warm air at vents...Flapper door in dash works well. is there anything in the dash I could be missing any relay. If my new freon was contaminated at all would it just not work .

Your high side numbers should be higher,it's like your low on freon.low side 35-40 is good high side should be closer to 250.

Off to St. Pete over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to downtown. The Grand Pre is coming soon you can see the fences going up. Went to the new pier bye the marina. Great day to be outside.

No but I have sprayed stuff into the outside vent to get rid of smells, rarely works, on the dump truck you can pull the blower motor and spray stuff onto part of the evap core and then I vacuumed it out, helped some, that evap core collects a lot of junk.
