Official Halloween Thread. What Are You Doing To Prepare?

Can anyone recommend a good out door projector? I have looked and nothing looks impressive or it looks cheap. Ideally if it works for Halloween and Christmas that would be great, so multifunctional is a plus.

Dude... Just about [any] of El-cheapo Chinese ones you see on Ebay and Amazon will do. The only things you really need to be concerned about are that it's as bright as you can find in the price point you want and has inputs you want (probably just HDMI but serious cases can be made for DVI and RCA).

Don't get up about Smart Projectors and all that crap. It doesn't need WiFi. More often than not, your video source is going to have what it needs. I shoot a Tinker Board at mine. It runs an Android OS and I have Vudu, Amazon, Netflix, etc... installed on it.

Sometimes I shot a laptop through it.

Don't worry about sound at all. Projector sound sucks and that's all there is to it. You'll need to come up with another solution for audio. I have several depending on how much power I need to push out and you always stream over bluetooth to an amp.

I'll drop a good example in the next post.

This claims 300 inches and native 1080P for around 100 bucks.

You have to watch because a lot of them are 720p but will [support] 1080p. That means that it down-converts. The other thing is, you gotta the ones that claim some ridiculous amount of lumens but only make like a 200" image. Well, that's because it's not bright enough.

Oh, and stay away from the [mini] projectors unless you get to see it in person first. Some really amazing but most are junk.

Your killing me man! I'm looking for a outdoor projector not a indoor that I need to run off of some other OS. This is cool but more complicated then I want to get into.

This is exactly what I use when I watch movies outdoors.

You don't [leave] it out there. LoL We generally, don't watch movies in the rain.

This is about as simple as it gets. You feed it a video source and it projects it.
