Progress Thread 85GT4V’s “New” 1985 Mustang GT

Pretty tame at my local C&C today. No other Foxes to compare A pillars with.

So do those use the OE center caps?

Great question. I bought new, reproduction center caps with the wheelset. The new caps are “officially licensed” by Ford so, I am assuming they are the same dimensions/specs of the originals.

I have my original center caps but didn’t try to fit them on the new wheels. I’m away from home for a couple weeks but will try to compare dimensions when I get home.

One small difference between the repros and original center caps. The embossed “Ford” logo on my originals is filled in with black paint. The reproductions are filled in with chalky white paint.

85GT4V, would you be so kind as to post up a few more pix? Like maybe one from the back so we can see how the meats look. Also, can you do two straight down the side, one from the front and one from the back, from about mid fender height so we can see the tuck? And of course, any others you'd like to share. ;)

Will do! I get home tonight from a couple weeks on the road and will get some pics up tomorrow.

Lots of rain here today, 2” in the garage by the time it was all said and done. All squeegeed out now with a dehumidifier in there to get things dried out.

Although this sucks there is a lot of damage in the area around me. Coulda been worse for me.

Sorry this happened to you and glad it wasn’t worse. Prayers for those that weren’t as lucky.

Your front tire looks almost flat. Any issues (air leak)?

AND in emergencies you can sleep in it.. If the weather gets bad you can put your car in it for protection....Enclosed trailers are pretty handy
