Thanks @limp ! It’s a fun car but a maintenance headache. Everything is expensive, requires a special tool, requires tons of research, etc…
The Mustang is worth more (from a resale perspective) and is just as fun to drive. If I could only keep one it would be the 85GT4V!

I got my stang used in 2007 and have daily drove her exclusively still to this day, I can't imagine parking her and not driving her.
Took her to get smog inspection Friday and as always she passed.

Good to see another Four Eye out on the town tonight at a local cruise in. Great weather for the next couple months should offer many opportunities for nice drives and shows!

Been up on stands since Thursday afternoon. We had great weather in NC (low 70s, low humidity) over the weekend so, it was a good time to be in the garage. Been raining the past two days but, temps are still nice.
Replaced the quads with OEM-level Gabriels and started detailing the underside. This was a daily driver for two years back in the 80’s. Very little surface rust, mainly on the unpainted parts (differential and crossmembers), and a coating of southern road grime.
Is cleaning up nice. Who needs dry ice blasting
They came from the factory raw but…rust. I only spent ~15 minutes each with a wire wheel on a bench grinder cleaning them up. Even a wire wheel on a drill would make easy work cleaning ‘em up. If you have the originals (or whatever you currently have) and they work, paint ‘em up and save your $$ for a real upgrade : )
