    I tried one from a bosch filter but it was too small. I guess I'll try the fram or just compare it with other filter gaskets.

    It's finally running

    I have it running right at 10deg. It idles at 900-1000 rpm with the spout connected. Here is a video on myspace. http://www.myspace.com/josephblandino At the end of it I'm showing that the vacuum is at 11. when I rev it and let go the vac goes down to about 20 and back to about 11.

    Today I finally started my new 87 t-bird engine. I let it brake in for about an hour and then tried to drive it. I idled fine with sone timing adjustments but for some reason it won't pick up rpm or speed around 3000 rpm. Any ideas? What should the timing be with the spout disconnected?

    intake hose

    The Blue 3" spiral hose # . It looks like it will work fine. I just put it on today. The plastic on it is pretty tough stuff. I think it's far enough from the manifold and turbo that it won't melt.

    I recently found out that somehow my air duct to the turbo had a hole in it and there is no wire to keep it from crushing so I bought one of those spectre air ducts from pepboys. Anyone ever use one of these?

    I was once told that if an aftermarket cam with higher lift and a bigger valve setup will do damage if the belt broke but the stock setup is worry free.

    What sensor is this? It's on the lowest part of the lower intake and has a single wire conector. It has a little threaded connector. Is this the knock sensor? It's directly between the oil filter and the distributor.:shrug:
