intake hose

I recently found out that somehow my air duct to the turbo had a hole in it and there is no wire to keep it from crushing so I bought one of those spectre air ducts from pepboys. Anyone ever use one of these?

Are you talking about the chrome plated plastic ones?

The Blue 3" spiral hose # . It looks like it will work fine. I just put it on today. The plastic on it is pretty tough stuff. I think it's far enough from the manifold and turbo that it won't melt.

Oh I haven't seen those. Well, I had some air ducting from advance on my car at one point, it was this metal reinforced plastic stuff and it seemed to get holes punched in it very easily. So just keep an eye on it.
