Sun N Fun is going on right now where I live... 2nd largest airshow in America...... Some P 51's flew over my house earlier, waiting for the F 18's .. By the time you hear them you are dead...... Right over my house, on there turn arounds for the air show...... Hard to believe they can go 3 times faster than what I see.....
Saw the Airforce Thunderbirds fly at a small airfield up in Orange County New York two summers ago. Unbelievable seeing them up close like that. I recommend anybody who hasn’t seen them, or the Blue Angels in person to do so! God Bless the USA!Sun N Fun is going on right now where I live... 2nd largest airshow in America...... I was transferred from Eugene, OR to Lakeland Florida the summer of 2012 for work.... ( I ended up staying here when I retired) ... I had NO idea this yearly Sun N Fun airshow existed here.... What a bonus living 10 minutes away....I feel bad for the folks that never got to see an F-14 Tomcat do an aerial display.
They built that plane around the accelerator.![]()
Yeah, that’s what it’s like at Oshkosh. My grandson and I were walking the taxiway where the airshow planes were parked, looking at a MiG-17, struck up a conversation with a guy also at that plane, and after a while I asked how he knew so much about it, and he says “I own one!”I was transferred from Eugene, OR to Lakeland Florida the summer of 2012 for work.... Walking the WWII warbirds, visiting with a young guy who fly's Apache helicopters, meeting one of the Doolittle raiders, seeing a one of only plane left ( F82 ) and conversing with the owners while they are doing maintenance, touching Glacier Girl, the P38 dug up from the ice, Having a beer at the outdoor " brewery" while F18's and F35's practice with each other coming in low ( seemed like 100 feet) right over the top of you..... Its so much more amazing than I can even explain....

Who cares??How much weight is saved with the roof swap?
