I have had similar thoughts. May even do one stockish build and buy another more stripped out SVO and do the 2.3T. Not decided anything yet.I had an '84 SVO and found it to be a very well put together car for 1984. Hot Rod Garage did a 2.3 Turbo Coupe build utilizing the stock motor and upgraded turbo/header/cam and injectors that made EcoBoost horsepower levels. Personally, I'd go that route and keep it "original"'ish. Pete Kotzur (San Antonio machine shop legend) had one that ran in the 12's back in the mid-90's.

Same here. Most of this build so far has really just been about finding and restoring SVO parts. Lights are always at the top of everyones list too.Oh how I hate finding good SVO parts. The corner lights are the hardest.
That is very true, the issue today is they are so hard to find and when you do, people want $500 for a pair of corner lights that are barely salvageable.Even if there were a Chinese vendor they would be complete garbage.
