01 auto shifter

Does anyone know of an aftermarket shifter for an automatic 01gt. B&M hammer shifter looks good but says it only works on 00 and earlier cars. Don't know what changed from 00 to 01. I have a manual valve body and the stock shifter won't cut it.

Looks nice but I'm looking for a shifter so i can bang it from drive 1 to drive 2 to drive without going from 1 to drive. Car revs quick and shifting at 6700rpm it's hard to just push the stock shifter into 2 without going right into drive. That's like going from 1st to 3rd in a stick car. Remember I have a manual valve body in my car.

I have a fully manual valve body and a B&M Hammer shifter on my 2000 GT. Call someone at B&M and ask if it will work on your car. Maybe they just haven't updated their web site for later model years. It's great.

I'm sure the hammer will fit in your 01. I have a hammer that came out of a sn95 mustang and it bolted right up. even if it doesnt fit right, you can use a self-tapping screw to make the right holes. its just a cable from the shifter to the trans, not directly bolted to the trans.
