Have lowered with H&R springs and bushing kit. What next for modest investment for road course events. Will put upgrade rotors on with HP hawk pads later. Any suggestions there is appreciated.
Thinking Steeda or Kenny Brown full length subframe with tower brace for now. Suggestions?
You said you were upgrading your rotors and pads. First... NOT drilled! Slotted at most. Drilled will last you a couple track days and you will hear a "Tink" sound and see a huge crack in your rotor. The hawk pads are ...OK. Run them on the track only. Save your stock ones for the street. On the street they will make lots of noise and not work well. (too hard) They will never get hot enough. Make sure you break them in correctly each time you switch them. Its important. Get good at changing brakes LOL. I can do all 4 tires and brakes in under 20 mins now
The tower brace. this is a good thing to do. Also the rear shock towers. Especially if your addiction pushes you to coil overs.
You said you did a bushing kit? What bushings? LC's?
How low did you take the suspension? You may need a bumpsteer kit and offset rack.
Last... What do you consider modest? How much track time are you looking at? I always recomend safty equipement first. Roll bars/cage. Comp seat. 5 point harness. Fire system.so on. When I say Comp seat I dont mean a tube frame caribu. Get a good one. Ultra Shields are nice. I am very happy with the fit and function.
Thanks's for the info. Real new to this -- that's why I am asking. Probably this year will only dirive the car 7/10 on the track to see if the bug bites me. Have heard no- no on drilled rotors. Probably will do about 4 events next year. the car was lowered 1.5 inches. Bushings I think were Steeda urethane? Clue me on the Ultra Shields. If I get more involved wanted to know what some of the ''obvious'' things I could do now that will work later.

Now if you get addicted like the 04 cobra guy up there and me, you could be looking into the Advance Geometry Rear suspention kit from KB. And quite possible a blower of some type if you don't have it already. I'm definatly with them as far as safety, it should always come first in my opinoin. Thank god for the roadracers left in the world I'n my opinoin I would go with Griggs Racing Suspension but that's just me..

Yup you could have all the horsepower in the world but if you can't stop well than yea that's gunna suck and make for a really bad bad bad day at the track..
I would easily recommend the 2000 Cobra R brake kit and MM full length subframes. Next I would spend the money on rubber and then try to get rid of all the crappy factory bushings in exchange for the MM ones.
All in all tho.. best mod for the dollar is track experience and training.
Thanks for the info. Planning next week to have front tower brace, subframe connectors, bump steer, x2 ball joints, 4 bolt caster, camber plates and rear steer kit. Will after market deep dish 18 X 9 bullitt wheels and stock 17" cobra rims fit with the 2000R brakes? There is only a few wheels that will fit the Brembo's right? They are 50MM? wider than stock only a few cobra wheels and the FR500 fit - correct?
