05 - 10 Engine Swap?

2005 GT Premium 4.6 jumped time the other day and bent valves etc... anyone know if a 2010 4.6 will work without mods? For some reason when searching used engines compatibility charts show the 2010 engine is not compatible with an 05', is it due to intake and tune difference?

The differences between the engines are intake manifold which you can just swap from yours and the cylinder heads but if you just purchase spark plugs and ignition coils for a 2010 you'll be fine, other then that its a drop in.

Thats great news, thanks for the feedback. One additional question, if the used engine come with an intake can I use it or will I need to swap my old one onto the new engine?

You'll need one for the 05-09
