I promised several people on this forum that I would post results of the wheel swap on my 05 GT. I am happy to report that 04 Mach 1 (and 17" magnum 500 copies) will bolt right on with no interference and they still stay inside the fender lip. I have 2004 17x8's with 245/45/zr17 tires. Yes, the fender to tire gap increases slightly with the shorter tire(25.5" vs.26.5" stock), but I intend to lower my car approx. 1 inch, so the difference is slight. Next step is gears, any thoughts 3.73's or 4.10's?

Excellent. That is good to know. I figured the 45mm to 35mm offset change wouldn't make too much of a difference. I mean thats only a 1cm change.

normally you have it backward! but do the gearing i would say get 4.10's no matter what!!!!

Hmmm, the MRT car had the deep dish bullits for the old car, and they stuck out past the fender (especially on the rear). Pics would be good to disprove this. I think the Mach 1 rims (or Magnum 500s) would look great on the new car.

I had a set of Cobra R's on mine for a few weeks... 17x9 fronts and 17x10.5 rears... they fit perfectly... and filled in nicely!
