Hi,

I have an '06 GT manual (TREMEC tr-3650). It has 55k miles. I just started driving the car. It shifts through the gears fine and sounds fine. I can feel a vibration with my hand resting on the shifter in third gear only. It definitely feels like grinding gears, but much softer.

It happens only when I give it gas (even a little), not when idling. If I apply gentle pressure to push the shifter forward (like I am holding it in third) the vibration goes away. Also, I can feel the shifter move around somewhat when I give it gas or let off (in any gear), but I thought that could be normal since I know that the shifter is mounted to the trans, not the body. There are no unusual vibrations through the steering wheel, pedals or body, only the shifter.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Steven
