I'm currently running 275/40R17's on AFS Cobra R's(4 lug) in the rear. And I get a little rubbing, on the inside, when turning into a parking area. I've got some room to move them outwards, but are the stock 4 lug studs long enough for use with 1/4" spacers?

Rubbin on the inside of the fender? I took a sledge to mine and went to town.....no rubbin, w/315/35 nitto's.
Just pull the tire off and whack the shiny spots:banana:

Do you want to end up in a pic like this???

 i didn't think so

Ouch! Obviously spacers aren't a good idea for stock studs. How about aftermarket race studs? The rubbing isn't really much of an issue, as it barely rubs the inside of the body, not the fender. I'm really looking more to get back track more even with the front. You can visually see the front is wider than the back(even with 275's in the back vs the 235's in the front) if looking at it from the front or back.

You'll have to forgive poophead. Most things are above his level of intellect unless it involves big colorful pictures or a pop-up book of some sort.:D

Here, we tried explaining basic electronics trouble-shooting theory to him. It didn't work. I tried putting together a movie (of sorts) to help with the endeavor but the cast of Sesame Street was unavailable.
