1/4s and wheel wells

i have a 67 fastback that im restoring,my question is are the rear 1/4 panels welded to the wheel wells, mine just have some type of black seam sealer in between the two,to hold them togeather. thanks

if they have never been replaced they should be spot welded to the outer wheel house from the factory.

IF they are seam sealed, it has been replaced. Be prepared to see lots of bondo. Look in trunk at the 1/4 panels and see if you can see an over lapping of seams or signs of partial panel replacement.
