Single chamber flowmaster ?'s

Are single chamber flows street legal in CA? Should be fine with stock h-pipe, just want to be sure. I had single chamber borla's on my old stang, and those are not considered "race mufflers." The borla's were very quit with pipes, and VERY loud with dumps. I keep hearing about how loud single chamber flows are, but this time around I want to keep my tailpipes. Any one have single chamber flows with tailpipes? How do they sound? CA street legal? Any insight would be great.

First of all, they're street legal as long as you keep your toenail outta the carburetor. I have them dumped with an off road h-pipe and headers. A person will develop a sense of paranoia from always looking around for the fuzz.

The single chamber Flowmaster becomes extremely raspy at RPMs above 3500. It becomes annoying.

IMO, I think there is more hp that can be found in the two chamber rather than singles, that is if Flowmaster is your manufacturer of choice. I'm personally getting rid of mine as soon as I have enough money set aside.

I'm looking at the Sportsman SpinTech mufflers right now.

I don't expect my car to be sound-ordinance loud, since miy h-pipe is stock, but I am looking for something much louder than what I have right now.

Anyone out there ever heard the single chamber flows with tailpipes and a stock H-pipe

I'm looking into one chambers as well. I've got 2 chambers now with BBK longtubes and an o/r h. It sounds good but i'm looking for something a little meaner. I've also heard spintech pro streets are wild.
