Fox 15: Turbine Rim Tech Questions

Well, my 10-holes are officially down for the count. They've got some kinda powerhouse stains on them that nothing will take out, and I don't have the time or inclination to strip & re-clearcoat them right now.

Luckily, I stumbled across a pretty clean set of turbines that seem to have come out of a time capsule today.

I need to pick up a set of lugs and I want to make sure I get the right ones for the turbines. Does anyone know the specs? Also, are the lug nuts supposed to hold the center caps on?

I looked around the web for pics of anyone using black lug nuts with the turbines and can't find any. Opinions on black vs. chromed?

The lugs do not hold the caps on

Thanks for the heads-up! I couldn't figure out why two of the four holes on each cap have a seating surface and thought they were bolt-ons.

Here's what the original lugs for the Turbines look like. They're 2"inchs long. Here I took a pic for ya:

I've got a soft spot in my heart for the Turbines! Someday I'll probably have mine restored and put them back on the car. I really wish one of the replica wheel companies would reproduce them in 17x8.5 . I'd buy the first set.

Standard acorn, but tall. Like these:

You can run others I guess, but these will allow the top of the nut to be almost flush with the center cap on.

So they're 1.9" long rather than 1.4 like most Mustang lugs.

According to that O'Reilly's link, those Dormans are 13/16 hex. I thought they were supposed to be 19mm-3/4 hex.

Well, on the turbines that are on my '87 right now, I kinda have a mis-matched set already, with both the 13/16, and 3/4. They both work, I just have to make sure I have both sockets to go with my breaker bar.
