15 Years On Stangnet

Typewriter... I had an older aunt who was a professional secretary and used an Underwood! All-manual, and you had to hit the keys "firmly" to make sure it printed properly, especially through the "carbon papers" ... o_O WTH?? haha
They got her a new Smith-Corona electric for her 30th year with the company. She smashed it within a month! :rlaugh:

One of my college roommates had one of the first electric ones with an internal memory and an LCD screen. It was really strange watching him type away for hours, with NO paper in the thing!

Its like that thing that hooks to the magic interwebz toaster but prints words in analog instead of digital.

When I was a Senior in High School I only went for a half day because I had too many credits. I took consumer math and Typing. Thanks to that Typing class I can type 60-70 words a minute still today. We would have Typing competitions in class and I always won, went 35-0. Can't even brag about it because not many know what a typewriter even is.

I was in the same situation, only had two classes senior year due to having enough credits, but I prefer my classes over yours, Gym, and Gourmet Cooking! Took the Gourmet cooking first period so i could get a good breakfast for my long day of doing nothng after gym class!

When I came to the US and started school they had tape drive computers. They were neat. Then they got some huge box looking computer. I think they were Tandys.... They made us play Oregon Trail so we'd learn how to use a computer.
