15X8 welds in the front...

I know it is very wide, but my friend already has the rims and wants to get new tires for them, does anybody run a rim this wide on the front? right now there are 225/50R15s on there but they look to short... wil 225/60R15s look better...any advise would help. thanks.

A properly backspaced 8" wide wheel will fit easily in the front with no rubbing, it's only an inch wider than the stock wheels.

EDIT: I misread your post. 225/60/r15 is the stock tire size for a 15" wheel, 225/50/r15 is an inch shorter.

shorter sidewall will give you better handling but yeah they look a little silly on a fox.
