16" rims on a 94-04 Cobra brake kit?

Guys and gals-

Here's the deal...I found a kit to put late model (94-04) Cobra brakes on the front of my '69 Coupe. What I'm trying to fond out is if anyone is running or has any info as to whether you can run 16" rims with the 13" Cobra rotors. I know all the kits out there say you must run 17"+ rims with a rotor this size but I'd like to know first hand if a wheel this size will fit on a 94-04 with the Cobra brakes.

I'd like to stay witha 16" rim for the time being. All that I've read says I need rims with a 4.5" backspacing to run 16x8"s.

you would be better asking the guys with that year mustang. I know none of the current 16" wheels clear it and some of the 17" don't work either.

That 4.5" backspacing is meant for the lug pattern, you won't fit 16's over the Cobra brakes.

the required size for the cobra brakes are 17" rims

When I installed my cobra brakes I was suprised how big they actually were. You will need a 17" wheel to make them fit.
