Will 17 x 9 wheels with P285/40ZR 17 tires fit all around without problems?

Yes, as long as the offset is close to the stock 45mm. I've seen several posts where people are running 285's front and back.

Just remember that those tires are a little over an inch shorter than stock, so you'll have a 4x4 look if you don't lower the car and your speedo will be off.

Shorter than stock? I thought 285/40's would be taller than stock 235/45's...?

285/40 sidewall is 4.48" vs 4.16" for the stock size tire, am I figuring this correctly?
When I viewed the tire size calculator on the web, the 285/40 circumference was 2" more than the 235/45.

OOPs...I see my mistake. I was using 235/45 instead of 235/55 for stock size...

Thanks for the help.

Will 275/50 17" fit on 17 x 9 wheels all around without rubs?

I just mounted 255's to my black bullits (17x9) and I think 275's would be perfect on the 17x9. They should fit fine.

JM2005:

Any reason you didn't go with 275/50 Nitto's all around? I'm still trying to find out if they will fit...

Yours looks great...

Thanx kd05gt

Just a personal preference, but the 275/50's will easily fit the 17x9's with no problem. They will fit fine on the car as well as long as you keep the factory offset(45mm). If you go with the 275/50's they'll be slightly taller than than stock but it shouldn't be enough to cause much error in the Speedometer. If you go 275/45 they'll be slightly shorter than stock in total Diameter.

Looks a little too big and too bulgy to me. I think I like the 255/50's better. Just my opinion.
