Anybody running 17's up front and 18's out back? How does the staggered set look?

Thinking of running this combo on the new project and wanna see how it looks. The 17X9 offset is what I want/need up front +24mm....but I need a +45mm for the rear but that only comes in 18's.

I like FR500's, but I'm not sure how they look in 17's. I HATE 17" Saleen style wheels. Those ONLY look good in 18's.

Too bad I didn't know someone with a 17x9 Bullitt. I would throw it on and snap pictures for you.

thats what Id do if I went to big rims, whenever I see a fox on 17"s the front fills the wheelwell nicely but rear leaves gaps(but I guess a taller tire could make up for that) IDK, Id say go for it.

I've seen a set of 17x9 and 18x9 bullits on a fox in person. I personally didn't like it. The front wheel looked stupid and out of place. I suggest going with all 17x9's. Then just stick a beefy tire on the back. However, there is a member of foureyedpride that has a black aero hatch with fr500's in 17x9 18x9 im pretty positive. fyi

To make it look right, I think you'd have to do a taller tire in back. Otherwise, you've got kind of a meaty tire in the front and a rubber band in the back, which would look weird.

Edit: That white GT looks good. You almost don't notice at first glance.

Although those cars do look good, I think either all 18's, or all 17's look better.

Why not just run 18X9 & 18X10 FR's?

Trying to save a few bucks on tires. I have plenty of 17's around here. 245's 255's and 275's. I know an 18 is a lot of wheel for a fox.

For the rear...the 18" FR500's are available in a +45mm offset and the 17's are not. That's what I need. I'll go 18X9 out back +45mm offset.

Indeed he did. I think I'm going that route man. That looks good.

Yes...FREE 17's vs. $143-$161ea. for cheap 18's and $199-$279ea. for good 18's...Ummm.....

Do it!!! The rear wheel is where the looks come from. Just make sure you have more rear sidewall than front and your all set!

More sidewall on the rear tire? Well, the fronts will be 275-40-R17 on a 17X9 FR500. The rear should be what then? I will prolly go 18X9 in the back instead of 18X10. So 275-285-40-R18?? Thing that'd look right?

Nova....you around...what's your tire sizes?

Why go 18X9 in the rear? Its easy to fit a 10" wheel, plus the 18X9 are not available with a deep dish.

I was under the impression they make 18x9 deep dish wheels now.

Kabukinotch I believe his name was had a set of black Bullitts in 18x9 with a lip on them.

I think a 285/40/18 would fit nicely, along with the 275/40/17 front.
