285/35 are so expensive its rediculous. but im assuming this is the best setup for the wheel.

what about 275/40? any other suggestions and pics would be nice too. thanks

My 285/35s were $177/each and I didn't think that was too bad

Don't go with 275/40s. It'll look retarded and your speedo will be quite a ways off. Use the following calculator. Put your stock size (if you have 17's, thats 245/45R17s) and then punch in 275/40R18s into the other section. You'll find out that your new tires will be about 1" taller and your speedo will be off 3.8%.

thanks nick, i usually explain this one.

285/35/18 is a good size. If you want stock size exactly, get 275/35/18

When you get in to 18" you are talking more $$. So if your not ready to fork over the extra $$$ stick with the 17's...Your only talkng about a few extra dollars for a 285/35 instead of a 275/40....

I'm biased, but 265/13-18 and 295/35-18 look just plain badass.

265/13-18 would look badass, but its probably more for show and you would damage your rims very easily.

Actually, I did manage to get a little rash on my rim (****ing ), but that was probably because I was being stupid and not paying attention.

The short sidewall is great up front. Steering response is quick, and there's less drama in the turn. Not to mention they're Yokohama AVS Sports and will let you hang the car on a wall.
