Top of the left windshield post

Brian cut out the first area he wanted to patch

Test fitting the pattern he made

Brushed epoxy in the area before he welds the patch over it

nice to see these repairs being made possible without buying the replacement pieces. it seems i have similar rust.

Most of the parts that Brian had to make are not available it would have been a lot easier if reproduction parts were available.

He made repairs to most of the a-pillar hinge area and that is reproduced.

The A pillar is two pieces the inner and outer. Only a portion of the inside is made not the outside or the windshield post. I did not find out that was available until after Brian made the new one. It may have saved a little time but you have to also figure the cost of the part and the time to remove the old one.

Yes that is the inner. It doesn't make sense they would make the inner but not the outer. We have a set ordered for the coupe we are restoring so we will get a better idea what they look like.

Top Notch Work For sure. Its cool that you guys are able to salvage the car. More work then i would have been willing to do for sure.

Brian has the windshield posts and front door jamb finished. Today he sanded and epoxy primed the next step is to install the new dash.

Very nice work. How hard is it to remove the roof? My 66 coupe has some holes at the top of the windshield opening and I'm sure the structure underneath is damaged.

It is a lot of work first you need to melt the lead joint on the windshield post and sail panel on the roof. Next remove the seam sealer from the drip rail than drill out all your spot welds.

The new dash was installed

The major bodywork is finished on the cowl. I just need to prime and block sand a couple of times. We are waiting for the apron to cowl extensions to come in than I will epoxy prime.

It may not look like it but Brian plug welded the fender apron extensions to the cowl and than I epoxy primed.

No we have been working on a couple of other projects (1966 Mustang & 1967 Shelby) but will start working on this again soon.
