My car did not have a working parking brake when I bought it. Everything was there, but the equalizer bar and the return spring were missing. I purchased the new parts, but I can't figure out what the return spring anchors to. I did a search two weeks ago for info and found a thread which had pictures, but now I can't find it anywhere. If someone could describe where the spring goes or post pictures I would be appreciative.

The spring goes in the passenger side framerail. There are two holes near the back inside edge of the framerail that allow you to work the curved part of the spring in one hole and out the other for solid grab. The other end of the spring goes into the equalizer bar in the first hole form the pivot point.

I am in the same situation and thanks for the info. I would like a little more descriptive info. My 65 never had a Parking brake and now I putting one on after extensive restomoding. i.e. I have connecting frame rails welded onto the sub-frame. They cover the old holes. So my question is can somebody give me measurements as to where I need to drill the new holes? Or a picture to guide me.
