No one has 15x6 SS wheels for sale except for Blue Oval Ranch, and he does not do tires. Other Specialty Wheel sellers: Mustangs Unlimited, Coker, Nat. Parts Depot....no 15x6's in stock.

Kelly, at Specialty Wheel, said that the 15x6 will give me that bulge in the sidewall...that slight ballooning out. He said that the wider I go, the more the sidewall will flatten. I like the more period correct look rather than a flat, low-profile type of sidewall.

Now I just have to decide if I am going to do 215/60-15 or 225/60-15. I do not think the 225 will be too wide. I would like to give a bump over the stock look, so I do not want to go too wide.

Once you have the wheels, have a shop mount each size on wheels and see what look you like.... Then buy them from where you find the price.

Thanks for everyone's help and input. I made my purchase last night. Kelly with Specialty Wheel gave me customer service above and beyond. I then chose Coker for the wheels and the tires...incredible pricing.

After much struggle, I decided on:
-15x7 Specialty Wheel SS wheels
-BFG T/A's, 225/60-15 in all corners
-Coker will lug-centric balance them
-chrome valve stem with rubber base

If I decide to go for the more stock look, they recommended a redline tire in a 205 for a taller and straighter sidewall.

The only thing that I am not 100% pleased with is putting a '65 all chrome SSW on a '66 car which should have a trim ring. Even though I think the all chrome looks better, it is not a correct look. I am glad that the 15's are availabel because I do agree that they are in better proportion with the car. The 14's get lost in that wheel well.

Now I just need to sell my original Styled Steel Wheels...

What does it look like? Is it a 500 style or keystone style?

I guess I do not understand your question...there is only one "Styled Steel Wheel"...a Magnum 500 and a Keystone are different types of wheels. I think some people generically may call a lot of wheels a styled steel wheel though. It is the 65-67, stock-looking/optional, Styled Steel Wheel...like this:

BTW, Magnum 500's are one of my favorite wheels....there are few wheels that scream muscle car, and that is one of them... Ansen Sprints and Cragars as well.

For my '66, I wanted to keep it stock looking. It is a Silver Frost car, so Magnum 500's would not look as good. If I had an Emberglo car, they would have been my first choice.

Silver frost is a color I am considering for my 66.

Is it silver or is it BLUE? I cannot paint or own any Blue car, ever. Every blue car I had was a disaster.

Got an image of it?

There is no blue in Silver Frost. Very rare color, by the way.

It is going to be silver frost, burgundy or dark green. Not sure I have the proper 66 names but that is the list.

I am going to get some samples and spray each to see what I like best.
Interior to be black, no brainer on that.

My data plate is Silver Frost with red Pony interior...as above...no blue in it.

I like that silver frost. I also like the dark ivy green, or vintage burgandy. I guess the silver frost is just a nice clean color and I seldom see it. That color with black interior and black top would be sweet.
