1968 "Cardinal" Mustang - Anybody have one or seen one?

Deanna (Mustanggurl) has been working on a project to find this supposed special edition. She found some info, which reports it to be a regional special in the mid-Atlantic, painted red, with special emblems, Decor trim.

Any info out there?

Yes I have seen one. It was in Smithfield VA. Parked beside the guy a couple times with our 68 and he had owned it since it was new. I have to admit the cardinal medalions were kind of ugly but I had never heard of this model. I think he said they were offered in NC and VA.

Yea, from what I've read, only in NC and VA. I've never seen one, thought it would be great to find one since I live in NC. They must have been very limited. Seems like I've seen the badge in a back issue of Mustangs and Fords.
