I have an original 68 Shelby deck lid for a fastback. I just acquired this piece from a gentleman that bought all the usable fiberglass parts off a wrecked 68 Shelby when he was in High School in 1975. He bought the parts and put them onto his standard 68 fastback(which he still has), after a few years he pulled the parts off and stuck them into his garage and they have set there ever since.
When i bought all the parts , he showed me pictures that were dated 1976 that showed his car with these parts on his car. I have a full restoration shop and am a Shelby fanatic, I have no doubts that this is an Original part. The deck lid is in very good condition, the fiberglass isnt showing any signs of cracking or becoming brittle. The only damage that I can see is that there is a smal chip out of one of the edges, its about the size of the head of a pencil. Deck lid still has original seal on it and the light. This is truly a rare and a amazing part. Im asking $1000.00 obo
