I've been wanting some killer led taillamps for my car, but haven't seen any done properly imho. Those need many more leds, smaller and more closely spaced. Like something you'd see on a new cadillac. I've actually considered trying to build them myself, but I don't know if i have enough patience these days. Lol.

i know you are working on other areas but I was wondering, will your tail lights have the sequential turn signals? I was thinking with your new halo headlights and custom turn signals on the front .Having sequential turn signals with Led's up front behind your custom lenses would look pretty awesome

As a matter of fact they are sequential, and Led raggedy. I do think they'll look good when the day comes in 2016 that they take up permanent residence. Combined w/ the alternating white/Amber front Ts's and the goofy assed "angel eyes" halo around my chinee halogen headlights, I should look like a rolling version of Fremont street in Vegas.

Back around 05 or 06 there was a guy on here that built his own LED panels and retro fitted them into stock lx lenses. Can't remember his name to save my life.

Kinda what i had in mind. A good friend of mine who used to manage a radio shack and now is an instrument tech tells me it would be a piece of cake. The dude knows his electronics.

There was a schematic in his thread. At the time it was pretty expensive but LEDS have come way down in price since then.

On a Fox, I like these:

and i like the Tri-Color:

The LED tails look like they're trying so very hard to fit into 80's Buck Rogers.

I wish someone made an LED tail light that took the standard lenses. I think it would be nice to have LEDs behind the red reflector.

Alrighty then. Enough of this talk about fox mustang tail lights. I don't have a fox mustang in the first damn place, why the hell are mustang tail lights even a relative talking point?

I have a monster. And it already has led tail lights from a..................................... Mustang.

Different year of course.

I also have created another G thing.

Witness the beginnings of the Gila Fin.

Maybe I'll come up with a way to illuminate the thing blue. I'll light it up right before I emit a death ray out of the front so I can devastate my enemies like Mothra, Gamera, or Rodan. Then I'll be the hero of Tokyo,.......Saving their bacon with another mutant lizard.

Yeah.......that'll be the ticket.

I ran out of steel before I could make the final 3 courses, but I believe that this will be the better solution than the grille that was there before. This means that I'll have to weld those 15 holes shut, and glue the sealing flange to the under side of the trunk (cant weld it, it has to seal in order to maintain it's water tight status)
I think I'll use something other than epoxy, something like windshield urethane sealant instead to hold it on the back side. If I can get a couple of nuts to hold the flange to the bottom side of the trunk deck, I may weld a couple of studs into the holes that used to have bolts going through there. I don't think I can, but I'll see.
Should have the G fin finished tomorrow, first I gotta go downtown and buy another 5.00 piece of steel.

Someone does. Google: "(enter desired light bulb number here) LED replacement". There are lots of bulbs that have been made to replace incandescent bulbs.

For instance:
Search Results For "h3" | LED Car Lights | 12v Replacement Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

Replacement for the Fox Fog/Driving H3 bulbs.

Entire kits:
Scott Drake SD-8993-FOX-EXT Mustang Exterior LED Kit 1989-1993

The @Diode Dynamics guys probably has some of these too.

There you go again, skipping the meat and potato main info, and trying to jump straight to the desert.

No my friend, rain won't be a consideration. It'll enter the g fin, and drain out over the rear end. ( the really long update before the G fin detailed that process, but I guess there wee too many werdz)

I personally think LED's belong on Knight Rider, and Knight Rider belongs in the scrap yard. You guys must have also missed where I told Mike I think his digital gauge cluster looks like electronic poop. But you cant fault a guy for wanting to be the oddest duck in the pond, he kind of has a knack for it. Also, Mike, let me apologize for getting everyone talking about Mustangs on our Mustang forum. My bad, lol.

Im digging the Gila fin, although since I am being an arrogant butt head in this post, I will go ahead and voice that I think the fins should be shorter so its not so bulky. "Now back to your regularly scheduled mad scientist program."

Yeah, but you gotta give me credit for knowing that you thought that way.

All the while, the other guys were being politically correct by making there statements "i really don't think", or "not my personal choice", but........ the truth is (if they were being truthful an all) that aftermarket fox LED tail lights look like ass.

Since you're out from under your bridge,....(That is where trolls live if I recall correctly) You get credit (again) for the revision. The new, improved G fin is way better that the G grille, and taller than you'd like or not,...the G fin is, as the G fin does. ( least that's what mama used to say) And it's Staayinnnn!!.
