The proper proactive path to that is I take him over there at the end of the day AFTER he's had several beers on his own. If I just happen to offer him a couple when he gets here than all the better.

Again, no pictures. But I spent all day chasing them down nonetheless. The wife decided that she'd let me spend the day there.....Yea her.
I skimmed the roof with glazing putty. I'd tell ya that I only skimmed the areas that had visible hail damage, but there were 19 of those areas. There was so much of that junk on the roof, it looked like I had intentionally covered it.
For whatever reason, I decided to hand block it back down with 320 grit paper. After about an hour of that, and completely covered in yellow dust, the wife comes in and asked what I was doing.......
I looked at her through the dust covered glasses I was wearing, and for effect just kinda stared.......after a small pause, I said "Really? Isn't it obvious?" She said back that "it's hard to tell, that every time I come out of the garage I'm always covered in dirt".
I said "this isn't "dirt"". Which got me a "What ever." and returned to what she was doing.
I went back to moving my right arm back and forth. But I changed the paper to 180, and that made the going a little faster. It still had me cussing, and talking to myself, with the primary out loud question being " Why won't this sht sand down faster?"
The roof now looks.........perfect. Course it ain't primed yet, but all of the dimples are gone. That Honkin dent at the front of the roof is also covered in filler.
I got all of my new primer and sealer in a sealed box from Summit. What I didn't have was enough lacquer thinner to clean the gun, so I decided to just go around the car and fix nit picky sht. I got the rear quarter extensions looking pretty decent, I decided to fill the seam in the back of the door opening where the quarter meets the B pillar. I sanded this, I sanded that.....
Then I came around to the tail light panel.
Cracks in the inside corners. Fortunately restricted to the rear tail light panel.
Mike added too much thinner to his primer and loaded it too heavy on the tail light recesses I'm thinkin. I had to 80 grit all of that back off. It only cracked in the inside corners ( like there was a worse place to have it crack), and the 80 grit made it go away fairly quick. That got followed up with some 180 to try and feather out the gouges that the 80 grit left behind,...and after an hour sitting in the direct sunlight,...I rattle canned it with some high build primer.
There is also cracking going on in the area directly above the tail light recess in the trunk across the back in the inside corners as well, but I was tired of dicking with it, and put the thing to bed.
So @Davedacarpainter,.....Am I right about the reducer making the paint too hot, and getting this reaction in the corners?
Or is it some other BS that will require I do way more work undoing stuff beyond what I'm already undoing?

Here I thought ol' Mikey was probably the only guy to actually finish a classic front/rear conversion on a fox. Turns out there are at least two documented cases. FWIW Mike, the rear of your red car was way better looking that this one.

Don't like the silver thing much. Way to "all over the place" aesthetically speaking. Red car was way cooler IMO. Not aiming for "Mike love" just stating an opinion/preference.
