Yea, ok, so he taps 'bluetooth' instead, give me a break! I'm tech impaired too!
i don't use my truck Bluetooth because it answers the phone when I'm in the house and I look stupid screaming at the truck as I run out to where it's parked. The neighbors already think I crazy.

Jeez you guys...
Here is the difference between Bluetooth, and WiFi.

WiFi has a much longer range.

Bluetooth is a short range “WiFi”, usually capped at about 30’.

I know that my new laptop has Bluetooth built in,..I just don’t know what is gonna be required ( password/access code) to sync the computer to the ecu.

I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

A string with a soup can on each end has a longer range than wifi, it's easier to setup, and it's hacker proof. Scissors or a sharp piece of cardboard can take it down though.

So get 1 Campbell's soup can. Duct tape it (camo since you're in Alabama) to the Megasquirt ecu. Run some monofilimant to another Campbell's soup can (I prefer chicken noodle or chicken gumbo) and duct tape that sucker to your new PC. Stretch the string tight and you're talking! Just like the old days!

Only a vacuum job, and a couple of 4-40 screws (that I cannot find) away from being ready for tomorrow night's cruise-in. With one small nagging thing..

I washed the car yesterday, I started it and backed it out. I started it and pulled it back in when I was done. Now this is a noisy assed engine to be sure, and I'm pretty sure that if I heard what I'm wondering I think I heard..........I've got a mechanical knock.

Now it's widely known,...I've got Car Munchhausen's disease,..and....I am a car hypochondriac...I may have been hearing things, and that may be all it is.
But,..guys with CMD WANT their cars to be sick....they WANT to have to keep working on them...

I've gotta go downstairs now and start the car.

** Edit**
Yeah,....there ain't sht wrong with the car. It runs perfectly.
I told the CMD guy in my head to shut the fck up and go sit in a corner of my head until there was really something to worry about.

The new thing that I have to get used to with these ITB's is that the car idles at a stupidly low idle, with a dead stock quality. Annnd now that the turbo is back on, and now having an additional muffler that I added when I was trying to quieten it down while it was N/A for the 3 minutes that it was N/A.........(which it didn't have before when it was TC'd,) Annnd now that that airbox is dead sealed to each TB....( which means that each ITB is truly breathing from a common plenum)...I hear the entire rotating assembly, like I was actually in the engine.

It idles like A granpa car...I can probably balance a quarter on the airbox

It's all good...Car's clean. I've got Money in the bank, I've got gas in the tank...and a new chinee turbo just dying to fail...( Gotta give the little CMD dude something to hope for)

The typical reactions are always the same...

One bunch of guys: "I've always heard that these cars were out there, I've just never seen one till now" (Thinking that it's a Cyclone)
To which I tell them that they still havent...that they are actually looking at a fairmont. (that pisses them off because it embarrass'd them to have to admit they don't know what they're looking at when they are looking at it)
The other group of guys are the best: They'll stare at the engine,...Wondering what engine Ford ever made that they badged as a "Cobra Jet" that only had six straight cylinders. They look for quite a while..........silent...Some may have a buddy, and they mumble amoungst themselves, until one guy will finally ask " What am I looking at here?"
It's probably more fun than actually driving the car.

Kinda conflicted about that....On one hand I gotta worry about how much blow by 7psi is gonna create, and how hard it's gonna be on my new iron maiden retention system. I need to see how long it's gonna take me to fill my baby mason jar with muddy looking oil. But like before, I'll get tired of 7psi soon enough.

50% duty cycle netted 11.8-12 psi last time, and admittedly the difference between 7 psi, and 12, is the difference between "that was fun", and " Whoa! That was freakin amazing" so I know il wanna go there again..I just need to see how well my oil control system is gonna actually control the oil.

Nope no pictures. Although there was probably about 200 cars.
It's the same cars though, and it's the same crowd. They all come there, stake out their little plots, set up the EZ-ups and their lawn chairs and sit there......for 4 hours.
The guys that cruise by me are sometimes accompanied by their wives or girl friends....They're also all the same. The perplexed significant other trying to look interested while their "beloved" attempts to explain why this car, or that car is cool. When they get to me, they both just look glazed over while I rattle on about this blah-blah, or that blah blah......They have no clue.
I kinda find it frustrating actually. Nobody has any idea just how much has been done to the car,...there is just so much going on with the thing I'd have to talk people to death to go over everything.

A guy leans out of his truck window and asks what "G" body this car started from...( A G body is a mid 80's Monte-Carlo/Buick regal) I tell him that it's a Ford, but that I did actually use the tail light angle as inspiration from pictures of a 87 Monte Carlo SS ( The truth).

I walk the lot,...doing the same thing I always do when I walk the lot.....I try to find something that I'd consider owning over the Monster....I never do. Out of 200 cars there, There are a lot of really nice cars. But you know me,.......If you can buy it,...I don't want it.

I decided to leave after about 75-90 min's in......I'm by myself there, and most of these groups stick to themselves, so there isn't a lot to talk about with the rest of them. I typically find the rarest of Muscle cars the only guys that I'll talk to,....71 426 Hemi challenger,.....69 AMC SC rambler, ...65 396ss Malibu... and there isn't that many of them around....so after a while I'm done

I start the thing, and the squeak is in full overdrive. If I give the engine any gas, it's squealing/squeaking its ass off.
I skink out the back way.
I'm pissed by this,..I cannot find out the source of the freakin noise...In my anger, I flog the thing to try and get it to shut the fck up. I hear the turbo spool, and see the water/meth activation LED light up. It's making boost now with very little provocation...I'm sayin it's every bit as fast into come into boost as the twin scroll BW piece that I used to have...at less than one half of the cost of the BW piece.

I'm happy with that thing so far.

I drive the 30 minutes back with the windows rolled up, and the A/C on...it almost gets cold in there.....But not quite. It was comfortable, but it wasn't hot out and the sun was going down...so there's still some work to do there.

When I get close to the house, I do a full on Michael Jackson, and Just Beat it. It' pulled like a muthrfckr... When I get closer to the house, I beat it again. I pull into the drive, there's no squeak. I wing the engine,..still no squeak,...Is this a slipping belt? Why did it go away after the engine ran awhile, and got hot?

I was curious to see what the oil catch can was gonna look like, I was curious to see how the Iron Maiden had held up.

It does this now......a mixture of water meth left over and engine condensation forms on the glass......But it doesn't leak now.

The freakin engine still does though..there was oil ontop of the stinkin valve cover around the front fitting (which was now loose anyway)
I checked the mason jar,......just condensation forming inside that glass jar...
I'm gonna have to remove that stinkin valve cover,...and deal with it..

I don't know what that's gonna take to make this sht stop.

I think you need automotive therapy. Somehow need to learn to like/appreciate some simpler things... Maybe you should plan to attend a show in another city, for a change of pace.

As far as the Monster, didnt you just use RTV for a valve gasket?
