What a place!
Now, with two trips to Mustang week behind me, and this one halfway through, I just gotta say....
This thing kills MW.
Muscle cars are the prevalent category, followed by 50's Stuff, street rods through the 30's, and 40's, pick ups, rat rods, crazy junk, and late models.
All scattered across a 100 mile stretch of gulf coast Mississippi.
The drives are beautiful, most of the parking venues are under the branches of 200 year old Spanish oak trees,.with a breese coming off of the gulf that is only a couple of hundred yards to the south..But the cars.....you will never see such a giant diverse selection of American iron in any one place in the country...period.
Thousands of them..even the super rare..
( like 1969 428KR Shelby vert super rare, 1970 Buick GSx Super rare)
The Monster is in his element...he fits in perfectly, unlike MW, where the car is a fish out of water. I'm continually hearing things like " it's been a long time since I've seen one of those", or "Out of everything else down here, this is the first one of these I've seen" ( Could the Monster join the ranks of the "Super rare")?
.
I'm trying to decide which night will be my "Stupid Night" where I go out and test how much sense it makes to beat a car that's 330 miles from home...
This was written yesterday after choosing NOT to go out with the car...i was hot after being outside all day, and I just wanted to cool out...that requires drinking.
And since I'm staying in a casino, free drinking I might add.
And, free drinks, and a long hot day do not make for a wise choice when high horsepower is involved.
Ill make a concerted effort to capture some pics today...after I'm tired of talking about the Australian headed noisy sewing machine that lives in the Monster.
( and...as many times as I gotten asked..i do get tired of it...( like literally tired of talking tired)
