I looked at it for the...( I think it took maybe 45 seconds) that it took to think:

What kind of Klingon talking goober watches this? The original series gets a bye on this because it was 1968. Now doing a re-hash using the same set, the same story lines, and the same campy humor, gives anybody looking for something better to do full justification to dig out all of their D&D “get a life you freakin dreamer” game scenario cards, and continue to collect government funded unemployment while eating box after box of Twinkie's.
Wait... you speak Klingon? :rlaugh:

W in the actual Fk are you babbling about? :rlaugh:

Have you not seen what movies have become?
I don't know what you're talking about, I absolutely love the new star trek franchise (the Chris Pine as JT Kirk star trek franchise).
I was commenting about that link about 3 replies back where some producer has convinced some studio that there is enough of a longing still among the fans that go to the Star Trek Dork-o-cons with their glued on spock ears, and klingon foreheads to rekindle the 60 series as cheaply as possible.by not only reusing the same set, the same special effects, the same stupid humor, and even the same episodes, using 14.00 dollar an hour actors.

Of course you do.

I'm really glad there are no digital pictures of me when I was 8 to my very early teens. You would see me dressed in a Spock outfit, wearing a home made communicator, at some of those conventions @CarMichael Angelo is talking about, with my "Star Trek Club" buddies. Then puberty took over and my interests went elsewhere.

I stopped at the Next Generation. I was always afraid they would bastardize the franchise but it sounds like I should watch some of the new movies...

After DS9, they kinda did. Voyager was bland, but watchable. Enterprise was a cluster:leghump: for most of it's first three seasons, but it's fourth season has only one bad episode, the series finale (which was awful). The movies after VI are hit and miss. Generations was basically a two-part TNG episode, First Contact was amazing, Insurrection was a bad two-part TNG episode, and Nemesis just sucked. The 2009 Trek reboot movie was good (it has its flaws, but it is 100% what Gene Roddenberry said he wanted done with it, and was brilliantly pulled off other than the excess lense flares). Star Trek Into Darkness sucks, it' a bad remake of The Wrath of Khan. Star Trek Beyond is good the first time, but it's re-watch potential is pretty low. Star Trek Discovery is awful, Star Trek Picard is mostly boring.

Among unofficial Trek, "Continues" is as good as it gets, followed by "Of Gods and Men", "Prelude to Axanar", and "New Voyages/Phase II" all others are pretty much equally crap.

I’m just gonna guess....You like(d) fast and furious don’t you?

Just got my call from PTC. He said the converter looked to be pretty tight. He put a loose stator in the thing, ( Whatever the hell that thing is) Said that should loosen it up considerably. Charged me a whole 100.00 to do that, including the shipping to get it back to me tomorrow. :nice:If it does indeed get to me tomorrow, I’ll try and get it back in Sunday. If i’m lucky, maybe I’ll be running by end of day.
Maybe it won’t leak.
Maybe it won’t vibrate.
Maybe it’ll fall out of a tree.

In case it does leak, or the vibration is still there, I put the 4l80e into motion with one of my Chevy boy friends..I should have a decent rebuild-able unit for about 150.00 that will be here w/i a week.

If on the other hand I get lucky, and I’m back in business, Ill need to get with my buddy Steve again for the resumption of the tune session, and the future 20 psi that i’m targeting as my end goal.

My BMW rewards money showed up in the last few days. 2400.00 unattached dollars, that I fully intended to help ease the pain of having to change out the transmission, should this one be a lost cause. I looked at several places to waste that money that ranged from buying a forged bottom end for the engine to a new professional series Tool box.
In the end, I decided to own the 2jz instead of continuing to pay Paypal credit for the thing. It’s been a year since I committed to buying that thing, and had managed to whittle down the 3300.00 to about 1600.00. So,..I chose to pay for that thing instead of buying some other thing. So now that thing is mine. Hopefully, the gamble I’m taking with the 4R70w pays off.

:poo:You’re Not gonna believe the Paint hackery!:poo:
(Full story at 4:34)
Every day for the last few days i’ve been going downstairs and filling that crater i created on my front bumper with Competition Orange touchup paint. Everyday that I go down there, the paint from the previous day had dried and shrank. I’m finally getting it filled enough to the point that I can actually hope to try and sand and buff out the high spot that I’ll eventually be creating when I get the 70 bazillionth layer of paint level with the existing paint. I know it’s not the right way to do it, and frankly, I don’t give a rats red bunion hole,..I just gotta get rid of the ugly for the remainder of the year.

And finally..

I wish that there was a “Tuning your 2jzgte VVTI engine using a MS3x“ handbook out there..I might actually be able to get a strong enough grasp of the process to actually be able to try this on my own. Right now, i’m just as ignorant as any other noob that comes on here that says stupid sht that I usually am first to jump on with a snide comment.
The difference here is I’ve already berated myself numerous times,...in this thread alone.

( Shouldn’t I say something disrespectful back to myself here too?) :chin

I‘m pretty confident that I want to convert the damn thing off of SEFI, and batch fire it, and convert the COP to wasted spark purely to dumb the tune down..I read the early pages of this thread, and back when the OG monster was running, ( with both of those parameters intact I actually messed with my VE/AFR, and ignition tables myself ( Course, I also rattled the engine numerous times myself as well,.....so......I got that going for me too).:flame:( engine)

That concludes my daily rant, and is all the news that’s fit to tell....Believe me when I tell you it’s MUCH better than the other version I had written and was ready to hit “ Post Reply” on before I got the call from my converter guy.

Can we unjump the shark now that the Trekkie fest is over?

Sounds like good news mike, fingers crossed for smoother sailing when the converter comes home...
