We have this engine and 5 speed in a kit car we just bought. Have lots of questions that I hope we can get help with.
To start where do I look for the engine number? If I find it Is there a site where I can confirm the year and specs for that engine?

I believe there are some numbers under the valve cover. Also it's my understanding the 83 and older have round exhaust ports, the 84 up have D shaped ports but this info varies and I'm not L4 experienced.
