I’ve asked this basic question a while back but didn’t really get a good consensus of what you guys think... on 150 shot (max).. 100 to start, which of these 2 options is preferable? Plate or single fogger nozzle located here?
Also, is it true I should not retard timing for 100 and under? Car is tuned with a act chip so I’m apprehensive about not retarding it any.
Also, I currently don’t have any way to retard it except manually at distributor.. I tried to dial it back 3-4* and it won’t hardly run with spout out and turning it that much.. it doesn’t like it at all .and “hit” felt more like 50 than 100..? Base timing at dist. was set on 11.5 when tuned so I need a controller inside car but can you guys give me some pointers on successfully spraying 100-150..? Thanks in advance!

I’ve also been told that best place to locate a single nozzle is BEFORE the throttle body as far as possible (red X) any truth to that? Doesn’t make sense to me but I’ve not tried it in the upper manifold like in pic... thanks again gentlemen!

It depends largely on the kit. Are we talking about a wet kit or dry kit?

Why nitrous? Does it seem the easiest?

I like the idea of only leaning harder on parts when necessary, plus the fact that a good nitrous system is much less expensive and easier to install/maintain than any type of boost set up... plus I “kinda” understand it better lol...
It’s a wet kit of course... I’ve had it plumbed for years but have never really used it much.. I’ve checked that solenoids and everything are visibly in good working order.. tested solenoids themselves several times by grounding them as well as making sure WOT and window switches are in good working condition... only real question is where would you guys put the fogger nozzle or is the plate “better”?
I’m thinking it’s probably not necessarily “better” but may mix/atomize differently/more efficiently?
I’m thinking at only 100-150 it probably doesn’t matter but want opinions please. Especially about timing with 100 worth on a “tuned” motor.. I certainly don’t want to go lean
