Yeah, I know I could sell it and make out pretty good but I also know that as soo as I do that, I'd want one again.

well why dont you just look for a 5.0 and trans to drop in this instead of switching crap over? or is the GT beat up bad? peace

It already has the 5.0/T-5 in it still but it got rear ended. Luckily the rear end is still good.

Well then I would start swapping over little by little. If you do it all at once you will be overwhelmed. Just tackle it one week at a time. Thats what I would do, especially if it is your only car.

oh yeah. i took it for 3 years lol

not a bad car. you look to be off to a good start. dont forget though you will need a V8 gauge cluster as well when you swap motors. what i would do is. swap in the 8.8 first. then swap the brakes and rest of suspenion in. then id install the new peddle asembly for the clutch( its a PITA ) then id go swap engine and transmissions.

Yeah, I figure I'll do the stuff that's a bitch to do, like the pedal install first so I don't have to dick around with it later, then I'll start on the engine....Which years were the hyper pistons in? I can't remember. Yeah, I know I need to swap clusters BTW.

Your GT has the good pistons, they started in 87- $100 bucks, good deal, specially if it runs! Good luck, brother!

Okay, good. It's not that I'm not listening to what you have to say, but like I said, I'm not relying on this car so I have until July before I can even drive it.

That's right, I couldn't remember and I was just too lazy to look it up. Haha. I'll start a progress thread once I get my kerosene heater back...not fun to work out where it's 25*.

I'll get one, it's parked at my uncles house because his buddy picked it up on a flatbed and brought it down from Vermont and we're going to bring it to my house next weekend on a trailer. It would be nice if his buddy would just bring it straight to my house but he said he will get in trouble with his boss. So long story short, I'll get some next weekend and I might start a progress thread too. Man I bet this week is going to go by exceptionally slow.
