1990Coupe *OFFICIAL* 2008 NFL thread

The Steelers win this year and they prove to be the most dominate team of all-time. I say that's better than this decade.

1. You're changing the subject.
4. Didn't they get caught cheating? Perhaps they wouldn't accomplish what they did if they didn't have the unfair advantage, hmmm?

OHHH BOYYY here we go with the ignorance

Do you really want to go down that road? read last years NFL thread picking apart spygate is one of my favorite pastimes.

So lets go I am ready, you tell me how exactly did the patriots gain a unfair advantage during the "spygate" years when I can prove many NFL teams for years were doing the exact same thing.. In last years NFL thread I link a article from the 1990's talking about this, and in that article they mention this was going on from the 1970's

Plus since it's not illegal to tape the other teams signals I fail to see how it's cheating, all they did wrong was tape from a area that the coaching staff could access during the course of the same game the tape was filmed in..

Also nobody has shown a feasible method of breaking down the films for use in the same game it was filmed in, there is just not enough time while the game is in progress ( and that is the only way the film would be cheating)

Plus to further show that I am right on that point when matt walsh was interviewed by goodell and described what he did when he was the one to tape the signals he stated that he had the tapes in his possession until after the game was over and then the tapes was handed over to his superior.. never was the tape in possesion of bill belechick or any other member of the football staff during the course of the same game it was taken in.

That during the course of the same game it was taken in is very very very important since that is the only thing that would make it cheating...

Even many lawyers that have looked at the NFL rules on this subject have said the rule is very confusing and can be taken to mean anything that you want it too mean and would not hold up in court if the NFL had a real legal process.. to make it simple belchick could have misunderstood the rule..

DO I think he misunderstood the rule.. NO ... I think belichick was being a ******* and he has done that a lot in the past, he is like a spoiled little kid and when he thinks a rule is stupid he just can't help himself he has to flaunt it. and in this case it bit him in the ass, in a unfair way but he had it coming.

kind of like this line of thinking " I am the great belichick wearer of the magic hoodie how dare does this noob know nothing commish send me this trash memo about BS, this has been going on for years and everybody will ignore it like in the past F him, he wont be in canton like me the great belichick"

I have personally read as much of the rule as I could find and found it highly confusing and it could mean anything.. there is stuff in there about 3 walls and a roof, what counts as the playing field etc. depending on what rule you read on the subject you can get a different meaning out of it.

I think belichick was wrong and stupid for challenging goodell and the NFL .. is he a cheater... NO and anybody who does not understand that needs to stop being a fraud. Plus anybody who tries to say they would not have won three SB's without videotaping signals that ANYBODY WITH A BRAIN KNOWS WILL BE CHANGED BY THE NEXT GAME is a idiot, a fool a moron and should be forever banned from talking football on stangnet and should IRL have a sex change since man card rights should be revoked.

had he known the media would spin this so far out of control that it would damage his legacy I doubt he would have done it, but he did and he has to live with that now and nothing can be done about it in the mainstream media..

So do you really want to argue this subject with me? I spent a lot of time last year looking up stuff on this i can go on for 15-20 pages.

Better yet start a side thread and I will join you there to argue this, out of respect to others so they can talk playoff football I think we should take this to a separate thread

BTW one last little thing I forgot..

You want to pick on redline about one GIANT loss last year.. Ok just answer this when was the last time your team was even in the SB? I remember the chargers being there, it was a long time ago.. could still buy new 5.0 mustangs back then, internet was still very new... No stangnet NFL thread back then for you to post in then since SN was still a few years away.

Getting a wee bit testy there, aren't ya buddy?

I don't think, after the 2007 debacle, have any room to be telling anyone they acted like a moron.

Just remember, your Patriots are sitting at home watching the playoffs just like my Broncos, and my Broncos weren't coming off an undefeated regular season and Super Bowl berth.

Your broncos also did not loose one of the greatest players ever to play the game in the first game.. plus they also had other lesser injuries all teams suffer through the season but the brady injury is franchise changing if he does not come back.

some can can try to downplay that but it is what it is.. some people are just not smart or hate so much they will even make fools of them selfs making retarded statements like " loosing brady made no difference" or " matt cassel is not a dropoff" anybody who says it's only one guy or try to point out how cassel is good please STFU now before you post it and look like a fool.

To be honest I am proud of 11-5 without brady, not too bad and so what about the playoffs they were not winning the SB without brady and without some help in the secondary and is there any point in going to the playoffs without wining it all.. NO

around these parts this decade it's win it all or bust.. OHHH as a side note I really really hope the patriots remove that stupid undefeated regular season banner from gillette it's a embarassment.. do it like the celtics championship banners ONLY

BTW go steelers.. Thats my team for this years playoffs, now that atlanta is out
