No they are just saying its a knee injury. Knowing belichick we wont really hear much of anything until mid week. It cant be to serious he walked off on his own so hopefully keeping him out was just more of a precaution then due to injury.

Not a great showing for the Pats. The Chiefs are a downright horrible team and the Pats just barely beat them.

:nono: I am really starting to think we need to issue permits to post in this thread to keep the fools out...

DID YOU NOT NOTICE THAT BRADY WENT OUT IN THE FIRST QUARTER..

they won the game with a qb that never started a college or pro game..

what was your thoughts on todays game?

Yeah but once you get a few you just want more :D

I think cassel looked OK.. He is no brady his throws are flat he lacks that touch to get it over the defender and drop it in on a guy behind the defense. even the big catch moss made was a flat ball. A little concerned over the early fumbles but that might just be rust and opening day jitters.. I don't think the brady injury is too serious but it is a concern. if you watch the video he was walking ok when he got near the tunnel..

I would not be too concerned about the lack of offense.. with cassel they were playing not to loose and grind the clock out.

that game was a lot closer than it should have been, but sanders really ****ed up on that big catch that set up KC for a chance to tie..

Honestly any game they win with cassel playing is a bonus so I am not going to complain.

yeah the fact he walked off on his own is a big plus so I wont be to overly concerned. Cassel did do alright but despite doing what he needed to do to win there were still missed opportunities such as when he over threw welker and he had a clear path to the end zone or at least a good yardage pick up. They did not run maroney as much I as wanted them to but Morris looked really good. Over all at least its a win, they have some things to improve on and hopefully brady will be back next week.

Ignorant. Shall I continue? Read the thread, keep up with the football news.

I'm with you guys on the whole game. I think Cassell did a good job of managing the game and not giving it away. He's not Brady, but I was pleased with his showing today after the awful preseason.

I don't think Brady's injury is serious, didn't look that bad when he walked off and all that nonsense.

I just wish I could've watched the game.. I was stuck watching the Jets/Dolphins game. :nonono:

You need an NFL package for your cable/or dish. I get every Patriots game all year, but I'm under local regional coverage :D

I wish I had it in regional coverage!.. I would get a package, but i'm not toooo worried about it since I can watch the highlights and keep up with it while they're playing. I'll still get to see a good number of their games on tv tho :nice:

All I have to say is this week Buffalo is officially tied with NE for 1st place in the AFC east :D

Yea - I know...it probably won't last long :(

Its going to be a good fight this year between the bills and Jets. Dolphins were a lost cause before the start of the season.

I wonder why they gave up on Moss today, after he got his TD they didnt even look his way again

Did you not notice that Tom Brady was taken out in the 1st quarter and did not return?

Did you guys notice that you were playing one of the most inept teams in the entire NFL? Did you notice that the Chiefs lost their starting QB in the 3rd quarter?

Cassel went 13/18 for 152 yards and a TD...hardly a handicap.

You guys need to take off your rose colored glasses and look at this game objectively. There is simply no way around it...the Pats did not look good at all against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Many of the receivers who are the starters were not playing in the preseason with cassel, Moss/Welker..exc exc... Cassel's timing is not like Brady's, he does not throw like Brady, the repor he has w/ the receiver's on the field is not the same. You cant throw in the back up QB and expect the same results as the starting QB especially when you are talking about Tom Brady. Your the one that needs to take off the glasses. Its ok that you don't know much about football, we understand.

Of course he's not as good as Brady, otherwise he wouldn't be a backup now would he. Sure the timing is not as good, but he sure did pretty good today didn't he? He sure wasn't hindering your team much, if at all.

You better face it, if your team continues to play like they did today you are in for a LONG season. You're also facing a major problem with the possibility of losing Brady for a long period of time if not the entire season.

Oh, and if you really want to get into a dick waving contest about this, I'll call your bluff. You're a good guy Redline, and a true football fan but I've read alot of your posts and your football ANALYSIS is sorely lacking at times. If you want to get into truely breaking down games, I'll show you what it means to KNOW football.

So now brady is lost for the season according to you or a very long time? Id like to know how you have come to this conclusion considering he will not have a MRI until monday and for the fact he walked off the field on his own. Knowing the Patriots and Belichick they probably benched him for the game and iced the knee to prevent any swelling. I'll be shocked if its anything that last more then even the next game.

Ive been watching Brady since he took over for the team. There are very few QB's in the NFL who can lead an offense like him. Hes a huge part in how everything works and clicks on the offense. Sure you can throw in Cassel and he can move the chains and score some points but belive me Its not the same.

Ive also been watching the Patriots since I was in High School and Ive seen them over come tons of obstacles so don't think that just b/c they have a close game against Kansas City that it is some indication that the team is some how in trouble. On their second Superbowl run they also lost to the 1-15 Dolphins in the regular season and went on to beat the Eagles in the Superbowl so what does a close game w/ a suck team really tell you? Nothing at all.

So by all means school me in the art of football and tell me the Patriots fate since you seem to be such a expert on it.
