You expect me to remember who your team is b/c we have discussed it before? The only reason I remember who people like is based on their Avtar besides a few who post in here a lot, one of which you are not so therefore dont expect me to have a photographic memory for who your NFL teams is

The problem I have is your taking this 1 game and linking it to not even making the playoffs. Your contradicting yourself. This post you said this is the analysis of 1 game, and in previous posts your saying they are going to have a hard time making the playoffs based on this one game? So which one is it, are you making a 1 game analysis or a seson long prediction?

Dude, can you read?

In every post I have said "IF the Pats continue to..." Are you not seeing the "if" or not understand what it means? Do I need to put it on a giant ****ing billboard or something?

Sweet mother of Jesus man....come on.

Anyone can say what "IF" the thing is does any team in the NFL play week in and week out the same way they did the previous week? No they don't that's why its so hard to say what teams will do good each week. You saying IF they play like that all year they wont make the playoffs is such a watered down bland statement that it means nothing. If Brady was out for the year I would have my doubts, but if hes out a week or two or less or maybe week longer then that then I'm not going to be to concerned w/ their out look for the playoffs. its one game, Its one game w/ the back up QB, its one game that was week one. The game is not played on paper and based on what "IF's"

Did I ever try to pass it off as anything else? It's exactly what it is...an "if" statement.

That's the thing w/ the Chargers, they either play like they did today, or like when the beat Indy in the playoffs last season. For them to lose at home to a team that made a cross country trip is depressing for them

Yahoo sports reporting that Brady is done for the year per "team sources"

Sources: Brady out with ACL tear - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Whats really messed up is this is the first time Brady has not been listed on the injury report in how long now? He was on every week last season w/ his shoulder and the first time he's listed as being A OK he goes down w/ an actual injury.

Just have to hope its nothing serious, if hes gone a few wks that's something they can adjust to and cope with. It it encroaches on the 6 weeks or more then its not so good unless Cassel pulls off what Brady did after bledsoe went down in the Jets game.

I'm not buying any injury reports like that until the Patriots report the extent of the injury and the recovery time.

That article was too vague and didn't give enough supporting evidence, imo.

it could be 100% accurate it could be complete Nothing from the patriots camp has ever been leaked regarding injury until the patriots wanted it to become public. It could be a very good guess at what happened or nothing but to stirr the pot. That is the only website reporting that so I'm not to keen on how accurate it is. If it really was a torn ACL it would be on NFL.com, Fox, CBS sports but its not. I'm not going to belive to much until the Patriots give the official word. Yeah it is vague, could be a guess that may turn out to be right but I highly doubt someone from the patriots would have this info and leak it out so soon. Its just not how they work.

Yeah, because the Pats have a great track record of accurately reporting their injuries.

That article was too vague and didn't give enough supporting evidence, imo.

What supporting evidence do you want? It was taken from a quote given by a "team source" and Yahoo Sports, from my experience, doesn't post these things unless there is some truth to them.

It is possible that it's bunk, but I saw the hit and I can tell you that it's very likely there was serious ligament damage. That was a wicked shot and the human knee isn't mend to buckle like that.

I agree. All i've heard from Fox, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network, etc is that he's having an MRI tomorrow and there won't be any new info until then. They've all said the same thing. Belichick even apparently smiled when asked about it in the press conference after the game; all he said about it were that tests were being done. That organization just doesn't leak stuff like that, especially if it would be THAT big of news.

how much would it suck if all this is true when you finally get to go see a patriots game and you wont even be able to see Brady

If he is gone for the year is the season over? I say no just b/c everyone thought the same thing when Bledsoe went down and we were all like who the hell is this brady guy that was drafted as a 199th pick? I don't see him as taking over the team like Brady did though and making a Superbowl run but you never know. Best you can hope for is that they make the necessary adjustments to continue on. Guess we will find out the full status on everything tomorrow unless some confirmed 100% accurate info breaks tonight.

The guy on NBC's Football Night In America just reported the same info but says only that it was a team source, no name or position on the team. We'll find out either way soon enough.

They would report something like this because it's not like they'd just start Matt Cassell for no reason and not tell anyone.

So I guess you believed the report that the Patriots taped the Rams practice because "a source close to the team" reported it and it was published/reported publicly?

Lots of things come from "team sources" and turn out to be assumptions that aren't true.
