I honestly think NE should have picked up Chris Simms.. he's better then Cassel IMO and would have given NE a shot at having a good season this year. Cassel isn't looking so hot for them unfortunately. Injuries suck.

In other news, the Dallas game was Fantastic!!!!!

Yes, yes it was.

I'm happy because i'm stuck in Cowboys country around every Cows homer.. I hate the Cows, always have. Having to listen to everyone talk about 'How bout them cowboys!" all the time makes it even better when they lose.

Chris Sims sucks, there is a reason hes not playing for anyone. At least cassle has been there and knows the offense to a point. Bringing in someone completely new is just no the best choice IMO despite cassle having issues

That's what I was going to say, but then I saw you said it. So i'll leave it alone.

Well.. i'm bittersweet about this. I know how bad it hurts to lose your QB, but at the same time.. this makes the Cows terrible and I enjoy that. Hopefully he won't be hurt too long and it won't linger, I don't like seeing those guys get hurt like that.

It's wonderful when the Cows lose, John. They day becomes brighter and sunnier. There is hope for mankind and a feeling of real justice in the world when the Cows lose. Similar to the way the media has been supporting Obama for months, the media has been supporting the Cows over all other teams for many years. The Cows are NOT "America's Team". They are the team "America Loves to Hate." In summary, screw the Cows and I hope they lose every game they ever play.

Meh, it happens. The Gators seem to be the same way, everyone just LOVES to hate them.

I enjoy the Cowboys, fun team to watch, plus it's kinda cool to go to bars here and have everyone pumped about the game that's on.

Just my observation, not to torment Pats fans:

The Pats looked terrible last night. Missed tackles and general malise on defense last night. Mayo out of position. Cassel was terrible. Just terrible. So many really bad throws to open receivers. This is going to be a LONG season if Cassel doesn't improve. He seemed like a nervous wreck out there.

Just what I said would happen has happened with out brady this is not a great defense, it's a ok defense that was made to look better by a great offense last year.. it much easier to play when you can count on number 12 and the offense bailing you out... it was a safety net that let them be aggressive.. now if they go down by more than 3 the game is over..

the 03-04 defense was a great defense but that was many moons ago..

loosing brady might be the biggest injury loss of all time, brady was,is and will be this whole team, with him they are a contender and three time sb champ without him they are garbage..

this is why I think brady is so great, not only for what he did last year but for what he did with subpar weapons in the past... look how bad the same players look without him

Nobody can step in for brady, there is nobody on this roster or that is is available FA or in trade that can make this better it's just a lost season..

the team stunk in 01 before brady they will stink in 08 with out him and probably be much better in 09 with him..

I remained optimistic as long as I could but last night was the test I was waiting to see. The 08 Patriots are crap b/c of Brady being out. its as simple as that. I'll enjoy the rest of the season but Im already looking ahead to 09

I'm ready for '09.

Even though i'm going to Boston/Foxboro this weekend to watch MNF, i'm ready for next year. Brady will be back, it'll be more normal.. and i'll get to watch Brady torch the Saints in New Orleans.

That wont happen. They had it really easy the first half, not so much the second half of the season.

Not to imply the Giants could do what the Pats did last year but bear in mind New England had 6 easy wins to count on last year. The rest of the AFC East was pitiful in 2007.

Myself and a few other football nuts at work believe Belechick really screwed up last year. There were plenty of games where the Pats had a big lead going into the 4th quarter and did not insert Cassell. That would have given him much needed experience that may have helped this year. We discussed this last year when people were complaining about Patriot blow-outs.

You have to play your reserves whenever the opportunity is there. You never know when you will need them!

No offense, but I doubt the Giants can go undefeated. They still have to play the Cows twice, Philly, 'Skins, Carolina, Baltimore, and Arizona. Some of those sound easy, but I think those teams are going to be putting up a bigger fight as the season goes on because of playoff implications and to try to knock off a potentially unbeaten team.. after all, the 5-11 Ravens gave the Pats all they could handle and the McNabb-less Eagles did the same thing. We just saw what kind of pressure the Cardinals can put on a team, so there's a few games out there. 13-3 sounds reasonable and that's not a record to scoff at one bit.

Buffalo was no slouch last year and we still killed them.

Belichick put Cassel in during some of the blowouts, but Cassel did nothing but throw interceptions and make bad decisions.

Damn, Cows are dropping like flies!!

Sam Hurd (WR) out for season. McBriar (P) out for season. Felix Jones out for 2-4 weeks. Romo out for 4 weeks.

I guess they're not as lucky as they were last year.
