They have done well considering the rookie coach. Campbell is playing better. I wouldn't say they were "scary" though. Last year's Pats were scary. Redskins are not. The Giants beat them once, they will beat them again.

Yeah, last year's Pats were scary. And the team looking scary this year? The Giants.. no kidding. They're destroying their opponents!!! If they're this good now, I wonder how good they would've been WITH Umenyiora.

The team who looks like the biggest disappointment? IMO, the Cows. 13 probowlers and they can barely beat a terrible Bungals team and lose AT HOME to the 'Skins. I'm loving it :D

But I must say... I miss Tom Brady.. :(

Ooohhh predictions.. sweet! MY TURN!! :D lol

AFC East - Patriots
- This one may come down to weeks 15 and 17. Week 15 Bills @ Jets, week 17 Pats @ Bills. I think the week 17 game will be the deciding factor, most likely.

AFC North - Pittsburgh

AFC South - Tennessee

AFC West - Do I have to do this.... really?.. damnit.. Denver.

AFC Wild Cards - Bills, Colts

----------------------------------
NFC East - Giants

NFC North - Chicago

NFC South - Carolina

NFC West - Cardinals.. Although they should give this playoff spot to the NFC East lol

NFC Wild Cards - Dallas, Washington
---------------------------------------------------

I could honestly see Philly coming back and beating Dallas out for the wild card, which would make it Philly and the Skins. I just think the Skins have a winning combination going, plus they still don't have their 2 best defensive players right now!

Titans are playing solid. Their defense is awesome and Kerry Collins is better than Vince Young at this point, in my opinion. And I think they can win 12 or 13 games this year; they only have 5 "tough" games left: Colts, Packers, Bears, Jags, and Steelers. I don't count the last Colts game as a "tough" game because it's week 17 and I don't think it'll be deciding home-field advantage or anything; 3 of those games are at home. The Chargers and Ravens are going to be teams on the edge of gaining a wild card spot, so one of them could easily replace the Jets or Colts.

On my pick for New England winning the division, I don't see them winning more than 10 games this year. I was encouraged by Cassel finally hitting Moss for one of those deep bombs for a TD. I think they'll continue to grind out each game on the ground and have good ball control. Cassel isn't going to be spectacular, but I think he'll become "efficient" by the end of the year and cut down his picks quite a bit. The next 8 weeks are going to be very interesting: @ Chargers, Broncos, Rams, @ Colts, Bills, Jets, @ Miami, and Pittsburgh. IF they can escape with a 4-4 record in those games, they'll be in good shape, imo.

But, there's still a LOT of football to be played.

Im not sure how it works but I dont think any college sports make money of broadcasts not on the sense that professional teams to b/c look at the sports packages you can buy for NBA, NFL, NHL. Networks could cover more games but I think more money can be made off from the packages that are offered for each sport

Sure they do, the conferences sign contracts with ESPN, VS, or whomever. They split that up between the schools. Heck Notre Dame has their own contract with NBC. The SEC just signed a deal with ESPN recently for 2.25 billion to televise their games.

The college contracts are not as lucrative as the NFL but they still substantial.

Agreed. I didn't realize they did those contracts like that until the SEC got that 15-year contract with ESPN. If college conferences get deals like that, I wonder what it's like for NFL teams.

I'm pretty sure the two wild card teams can't be from the same division. I could be wrong though.

You have 4 division winnners + 2 w/c teams per conference. There is no NFL rule against this. Yeah, I think it could happen.
My buddy assures me it can happen.
Imagine if the Giants/Dallas/Skins (or Eagles) all make it? That would be weird and really say something about that division. However, since the division rivals play each other 2x, someone has to take the losses.

They all made it last year... unfortunately lol.

Hopefully the Cows will self-destruct and won't make it through the season. They just don't look impressive.

I want to see the Giants beat some good teams before I put them at the top of anyone else in the AFC. Yeah they beat Washington in week 1 but I see a stark difference in Washington now. IMO the Giants have played no body's until week 8, they have played one division game in 8 weeks to that point until they play the cowboys.

Going back to teams I dislike I forgot to throw in the chargers. I cant stand them either.
