I think I know the answer to this, but looking for input from those with 91-93 Mustangs

Ford started adding the fuse box cover in 1991. My ‘88 has a 90+ interior, and I added a custom bracket to mount the fuse box similar to how it is in the 90-93 cars.

So I thought I’d add the fuse box cover.

Well, it doesn’t seem to clip on. It’s almost like it’s missing something. It slips on fine, but the two tabs on the sides don’t seem to latch onto anything.

With the cover off, that clip is too far away to be useful for the cover. Part number on my fuse block is E45B, so it’s a part designed around 1984. What’s the part number on your fuse box? Is it revises for 1991??

How I made my custom bracket. Cover stays on, but loosely. I envision picking it up off the floor a bit. Maybe some sticky tape and call it a day

5L5,
I have a 1991. Here are some pictures I just took with the cover on and off and from different angles. Part number on the cover is the same as
Yours. Hope this helps.

Perfect thanks.

I think that actually answers what I need to know. Looks like there is a locking tab on the side of it that my fuse box doesn’t have.

I guess I’ll just need to come up with something creative to secure it

Mine just pops into place real easy. No big clips or anything that has to be pushed hard, etc. it’s actually not very secure but i guess it is because it doesn’t fall. Lol
Ok well hit me up if better pics or anything is needed but glad this may have helped.

Bungee cord
I thought my 89 fuse box was in a different place, on the trim between the steering wheel and drivers door. I'll look at it here in a bit.

It is in a different spot. But it moved in 1990 so when I put a 90+ dash in my car, I had to get creative.
