I think he confused bbk intake manifold for cold air intake. The bbk intake is fine. Doesn't really do much, but won't hurt performance.

If you have a stock intake manifold on them car, do other mods before a throttle body. A 65mm tb on a stpckmm manifold is a waste.

Do a larger maf....perhaps a 94-95 maf with adapter if you want a cheap project with good results.

ok thanks ya i knew it wouldnt make much of a hp difference i mainly want it for the sound to go with my magnaflow cat system. also im only 17 and this is my first car (a 1991 red 5.0 mustang gt convert, 60,000 mi.) so im very knew to the almost limitless upgrades you can do to these cars. price isnt the biggest issue i mainly just wanna do the best basic upgrades to this car to make a good street ride that will swamp the thousands of ricers in my area> hahaha

No spoiler. Just get a coupe trunk, paint to match.

Clean look > added on spoilers.

I wouldn't bother with a throttle body on a near stock car. What other modifications are done to the engine besides the exhaust system?

Then as stated, save the throttle body for later on down the road. If you want intake noise, replace your stock airbox with an open element K&N filter. Otherwise, you might want to look into a gear swap as your next performance modification. It won't add any power, but it will make better use of the power you're currently making.

Performance gains made from bolt-ons, on a stock 5.0L short block will be minimal at best. The stock heads/inake are just far too restrictive to make any real use of any incoming, or outgoing airflow. If you really want to make a difference, start saving your money for a nice top end kit like one of the Ford Racing, or Trick Flow packages offered and you'll really see a difference....and make those bolt on parts actually worth while.
